Hello, my name is Jeff Mata. I am a San Diego-born and raised motivational speaker, athlete, business professional, and advocate for an equal educational environment for students with disabilities. Faced with a complete loss of sight on April 18th, 2008, I have accomplished more than one could imagine. I graduated from California State University San Marcos with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management. While working on my undergraduate, I mentored other students on campus through a life and leadership program known as the Tukwut Leadership Circle. My ability to guide and motivate others became a valuable asset to my career in motivational speaking. Not only do I empower one through speaking, but I am an established athlete in the Sport Jiu Jitsu International Federation. I am a three-time World Gold Medalist and continue to compete against athletes who are able-bodied. In a fast-paced world with lack of perception, my journey has inspired a countless number of individuals and I am just getting started.
